A different premise

The voice is not a throat event.

Vocal folds and breath matter. So do movement, attention, confidence, recovery, and the person carrying the sound. Human Instrument Method brings those parts back into one living system.

The human is the instrument. The voice is the sound it makes.

About

Built from a voice that had to be rebuilt.

Drew V. is a singer and the creator of Human Instrument Method. After losing his voice for three years, he began rebuilding both the instrument and the philosophy around training it.

The work is for people who were taught to treat voice as a gift they either received or missed. It begins somewhere more useful: with the human who is already here.
